Biography

Dr. Derick E. Vergne is a board-certified psychiatrist with a strong background in clinical practice and research. He earned his MD from the University of Puerto Rico in 2002 and completed his psychiatric training at the University of Colorado and Emory University. He serves as Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Tufts University School of Medicine.

Dr. Vergne combines a psychodynamic and psychoanalytic approach to neuropsychopharmacology to enhance his understanding of patients. He has published work on mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, and alcoholism. Bilingual in English and Spanish, Dr. Vergne is a member of several professional societies and currently practices in Acton, MA.
